District Attorney Angel Myers McIlrath stated, “The last several months have resulted in multiple convictions of individuals in our district who have repeatedly preyed upon children. This case underscores the continuing need for our community to believe – and protect – our children. My office remains committed to protecting our children and bringing child predators to justice.”
Assistant District Attorney Bill Barrett stated, “For nearly two decades the Defendant used his relationships with neighbors and friends to gain access to and sexually abuse children.
After many years of abusing children, both named and unnamed, the Defendant has finally been brought to justice. We are especially grateful to past victims who participated in the prosecution of this case. This result is for them.”
Assistant District Attorney Carolyn Lewis stated, “I commend the victims in this case, and a past victim for coming forward about their sexual abuse they endured from McNair. Their voices were heard in open court today about how McNair betrayed their trust and stole their innocence. Judge Taylor said it best when he said that the message must be sent that the children in Greene County cannot be preyed upon.”
