Cowman wins Hancock County Chancery Clerk race

In one of the more high-profile races on the Coast, Tiffany Lee Cowman has been elected as Hancock County’s newest chancery clerk.

Cowman won more than 80 percent of the vote last night against Democratic challenger Henry Ward.

With the win, Cowman will become the second woman ever to hold the chancery clerk’s office in Hancock County history.

News 25 caught up with Cowman after the race was called to get her reaction. “It’s a triumph for me, my family, but I think for anybody that I have ever come in contact with through my adventures in Hancock County as a servant in many capacities. I think this is a triumph for everybody.”
