Partnership between Mississippi and Southern Miss for ‘One Pill Can Kill’ campaign

Pill

Mississippi Attorney General Lynn Fitch announced a partnership between the state and the University of Mississippi.

The ‘One Pill Can Kill’ campaign is a public awareness campaign to educate, support, and empower Mississippians about the dangers associated with fentanyl.

In addition to the initiative, overdose emergency kits have been installed in campus housing at Southern Miss as part of a grant awarded to the campus’ Moffitt Health Center.

The kits contain CPR masks, Narcan, and written or voiced instructions on how to administer the Narcan.

Southern Miss has already distributed about 300 boxes of Narcan to members of Southern Miss’ faculty, staff, and Residence Life assistants.
