GULFPORT, Mississippi, October 11, 2023 – The Gulf Coast Business Council Political Action Committee announces its endorsement of Governor Tate Reeves for re-election.

The PAC made the announcement Wednesday afternoon at the Biloxi Visitors Center.

“I’m honored to receive this endorsement from the Gulf Coast Business Council PAC. The Coast is a huge economic driver for Mississippi, and the member companies of this group are a big reason for that,” Gov. Reeves said. “We’ve created an economic environment where businesses want to invest capital and create jobs, and the result is a growing economy and a stronger, more prosperous Mississippi Gulf Coast.”

The GCBC PAC was established in 2022 with the sole purpose of making contributions and/or endorsements to candidates for public office, regardless of political affiliation, who support probusiness and pro-tourism issues, initiatives, policies and laws.

The Gulf Coast Business Council is a private sector-led organization comprised of top-level business and industry leaders from Hancock, Harrison, and Jackson counties.

The GCBC is the united voice for pro-business and pro-tourism policy that enhances Coastal Mississippi’s business climate and improves the quality of life for all its residents. “It is important to elect leaders to public office who have a track record of supporting business and industry,” said Jamie M. Miller, president and CEO of the GCBC. “Gov. Reeves has a documented history of eliminating taxes, reducing regulations and growing Mississippi’s economy as Lt. Governor for eight years as well as the past four years as Mississippi’s Governor.

“His leadership in economic and workforce development have earned him the endorsement of the Gulf Coast Business Council’s PAC.”
