Dr. Joe Paul inaugurated as 11th Southern Miss president

Dr. Joe Paul has officially been inaugurated as the 11th president of the University of Southern Mississippi.

The inauguration took place at the Bennett Auditorium on the Hattiesburg campus, coming more than 50 years after Dr. Paul first stepped foot on the Hattiesburg campus as a student.

Dr. Paul began his duties as the 11th president on November 1 of 2022, having served in the interim role since July 16 of this year.

Before this role, he served for more than 40 years as a student affairs administrator.
