Annual End of Summer BBQ Cook Off raises funds for local charities

Pitmasters had their skills tested during an annual cook-off event in Ocean Springs. 4 Bulls hosted its End of Summer Barbecue Cook Off event featuring live music, vendors, and a whole lot of good eating.

Several grill teams competed in contests which included a rib, pulled pork, and chicken cook-off, battling it out to take home first place.

All proceeds raised by this event benefit local veterans, animal shelters, and food banks.

Civil Air Patrol was one of the vendors on site, doing its part to honor veterans. Cadet 2LT. Grace Barton said, “With Civil Air Patrol, we are selling wreathes for Wreathes across America that we are going to lay on veterans graves at the Biloxi National Cemetery on December 16th and we’re going to be having a ceremony at 10 o’clock.”
