History Night returns to the MS Aviation Heritage Museum

A former Vietnam War pilot is coming to a local museum in Gulfport to tell stories about aviation.

On the fourth Thursday of every month, the Mississippi Aviation Heritage Museum will be hosting history night. It’s a chance for visitors to listen to in-depth stories about the Magnolia state and the rest of the country’s rich aviation history.

Once the doors open at 5 p.m., attendees will be able to tour the museum for an hour before hearing tales of past incidents and triumphs, war history, and other facts from aviation historians Aydin Grace and Ava Madison.

Executive Director Francisco Gonzalez says it will be a night of entertainment and learning. “It’s going to be about an accident that happened on an airliner that crashed in the Gulf of Mexico which has still hasn’t been found and it was believed to have been bombed. It costs ten dollars, you can come in and you sit down and you get some pizza and couple of refreshments, and you get to listen to some historians, or aviation archeologist as we call them, tell the stories.”

Be sure to mark your calendars for History Night on September 28th.
