Cam Transport giving out free meals to truck drivers at Port of Gulfport

A Gulfport trucking company is showing its appreciation for truck drivers this week.

Cam Transport workers have setup shop near the Port of Gulfport entrance today, handing out meals to truck drivers for their second annual trucker appreciation.

The drivers were eating everything from McDonalds meals, Newks, Papa Johns pizza to your favorite bags of chips, soda pop, and cold water before hitting the road.

Cam Transport said it is their way of saying thank you to all the drivers who keep the country moving. Kimberley Pauge with Cam Transport said, “As long as they honk, we’re happy and as long as they’re happy we’re all happy so. It takes everybody to make the world go ’round and that’s a big reason why we wanted to do the port is cause it’s not just Cam drivers that help make the world go round, it’s every truck driver. So that’s why we’re doing every truck driver that comes through here.”

Cam Transport will be handing out meals to truckers near the Port of Gulfport tomorrow and Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
