Visitors explore emergency vehicles at Traintastic First Responders Day

Traintastic was letting visitors get up close and personal with local first responders and their vehicles.

On Saturday, firetrucks, police cars, and ambulance vehicles were on full display during Traintastic’s First Responder Day.

Guests were able to learn about the different functions and features of these emergency vehicles while also getting to tour the insides of some of their favorite units.

Sgt. Jason Ducre with Gulfport PD says this touch-a-truck event is great for community engagement. “Anytime we have an opportunity to be a part of the community we jump on it. So, here we are, doing the touch-a-truck. The kids were inside, they were doing the touch-a-truck earlier and they obviously had a good time in our m-wrap. Anytime we can do something in the community that’s positive and with any of our community partners, we’re just happy to be a part of it.”
