14th annual Teddy Bears on Patrol
North Bay Civitan Club of D’Iberville and St. Martin is hosting the 14th annual Teddy Bears on Patrol Drive-Thru.
It’s happening at the intersection behind Newk’s and AT&T at the D’Iberville Promenade Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. New or gently used teddy bears can be used by first responders during incidents where youth might be involved.
Each teddy bear is checked by volunteers for cleanliness and retagged with a message of comfort before being presented.
Civitans and volunteers also pay tribute to lives lost on 9/11 with a special prayer and ringing of the Civitan bell.
