Jackson County Sheriff’s Department searching for alleged murder suspect

The search for the man who allegedly killed his stepfather Sunday, September 3, is underway in Vancleave.

Sheriff John Ledbetter says it’s believed 30-year-old Arron Blake Haylock is on foot in the area of Highway 57 to Waltman Road down to McGregor Road.

Haylock is wanted for the capital murder of 60-year-old Douglas Arguelles. The victim was found severely injured inside his home on Waltman Road and identified Haylock as the suspect. Arguelles later died at a hospital.

The sheriff says Haylock took his stepfather’s truck and left the house before deputies arrived. The truck has been found.
