Long Beach officials to hold ‘blessing of the Baby Box’ Wednesday

Happening Wednesday at 9 a.m., the first Baby Box in Mississippi will be receiving a blessing.

Long Beach is the first city in the state to receive a Baby Box. The box is located at the fire station in the town.

This might be the first Baby Box in Mississippi, but it is the 158^th being placed in the nation.

Mississippi is also the 12^th state to join the Safe Haven Baby Box program.
