Mississippi State basketball star visits local Boys and Girls Club

Mississippi State basketball stand-out Tolu Smith paid a visit to his old stomping grounds at a local Boys and Girls Club to pay it forward to his community.

The 6’10” basketball player, who led the Mississippi State Bulldogs in scoring and rebounding this past season, presented a check of $2,500 to the Boys and Girls Club of the Gulf Coast Hancock County Unit.

The Bay-Springs native got to enjoy time with students to shoot hoops and enjoy music and fun.

Smith also sat down to talk and host a Q&A, but Smith said on top of setting an example to the youth, he wanted students to remember that good grades are the standard and to always chase their dreams.

Smith says he is thankful to all the sponsors and everyone who helped raise funds to give back to his local community.
