Mississippi Crime Stoppers Convention
There’s no such thing as being too prepared when it comes to our law enforcement officers.
For the past three days, agencies from all over the state have been at the IP Casino for the Mississippi State Crime Stoppers Convention. Officers and deputies have been taking part in training and collaborating with others from across the state. This is something organizers say is so important because they are all trying to do the same job. Chairman of the State Crime Stoppers Advisory Board Doug Adams said, “We all have the same kind of problems. We all have burglaries. We all have drug problems and stuff like that. Different things work in different areas and so we pick up ideas from them, they pick up ideas from us. The whole point is to get tips in and for people to be anonymous.”
The conference concluded this morning with a speech from the Magnolia State’s first lady Deborah Bryant. There was also an awards ceremony where Biloxi was named the top supporting agency of Crime Stoppers in the South.
