Pascagoula Police investigating Friday night shooting near high school

Pascagoula Police are investigating a shooting Friday night that left a 16-year-old in the hospital.

Police say about 9:19 p.m., officers responded to the roundabout near the high school on Tucker Avenue after receiving a 911 call about a shooting.

Officers who arrived on scene found a 16-year-old from Ocean Springs who had been shot. The teen was taken to Singing River Hospital with a non-life threatening injury.

Police believe the suspect also is from Ocean Springs.
