Pascagoula River Audubon Center launches ambassadorship program
The Pascagoula River Audubon Center is recruiting students interested in volunteering.
This volunteer program will allow students to play a more active role in the preservation of the local environment while earning service hours.
Ambassadors will have the opportunity to volunteer in education, media, wildlife, or guest services.
Ambassador responsibilities can include camp counseling, posting on social media, or even kayaking to remove trash from rivers.
Registration for the fall cohort of ambassadors is open through August 28th.
Education Manager Katie Walsh Fetzer says the ambassador program is an opportunity for students to gain experience while helping the center. “The ideal candidate for Audubon Ambassadors is a student who’s looking to fulfil any volunteer service hours and who might be interested in the environment or education. It can be a great resume builder for them and a great help for us.”
Training for the Pascagoula River Audubon Center ambassadors program will begin on August 31st.
