St. Patrick alum Nick Krass transfers from USM to MGCCC
PERKINSTON, Miss. (WXXV) — Former St. Patrick boys basketball standout Nick Krass is on the move once again, having already transferred from Oregon State to Southern Miss in May, and is now moving from USM to Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College to play for former Gulfport head coach Owen Miller, who just coached Nick’s younger brother Matt Krass last season.
During his true freshman season in Corvallis, the former News 25 Student-Athlete of the Week appeared in 26 of his team’s 32 games, pitching in 43 points and 16 rebounds off the bench.
As a high school senior for the Fighting irish, Krass led the way with 22 points per game, en route to their first Final Four appearance all-time, finishing with an overall mark of 31-3.
Krass was also the team-leader in assists, steals and blocks.
