Biloxi Water and Sewer Rate Increase on Hold
If you are a Biloxi resident and have been expecting your water and sewer rates to go up, it’s not happening just yet. The city decided to table the motion until next week.
On Friday, the council asked for alternatives to Mayor Gilich’s proposed 11 percent increase for customers who use 8,000 gallons or more a month. One suggestion was an increase for all customers across the board. Councilman Felix Gines tells News 25 he knows the rate increases are necessary but he’s not ready to put the burden on the residents in his ward just yet.
