Ledbetter elected Jackson County Sheriff

Republican candidate John Ledbetter — appointed to the Jackson County Sheriff position after Mike Ezell was elected to Congress — has won the seat in the primary election.

Ledbetter earned 67% with 5,512 votes, outpacing his opponents by more than 4,000 votes.

Louis Miller earned 17% of the vote with 1,406 ballots cast, followed by Robbie O’Bryant with 1,000 votes and Robert Blocker with 307.
