Woods fire threatened mobile home in Lizana

Harrison County Fire Rescue and Mississippi Forestry Fire Crews responded to a field fire that endangered a mobile home and burned several acres yesterday.

The fire was just off of Mark West Road near the Lizana Community.

Fire Chief Pat Sullivan reports one mobile home was damaged. No injuries have been reported, although fire crews faced extreme heat while putting the fire out.

Chief Sullivan reminds everyone to be cautious when burning something, have control of the fire, and have something to put the fire out if it gets out of control.
