Traffic flowing on I-10 after accident in Hancock County

Traffic is moving smoothly again in the westbound lanes of I-10 at the Mississippi Louisiana state line after an accident on the Pearl River Bridge earlier this morning.

This accident comes just less than two weeks since the bridge fully reopened following intensive repairs on the westbound lane.

There were no injuries involved in this morning’s accident.

According to Mississippi Highway Patrol, an 18-wheeler hit the concrete railing on the bridge, breaking the rail.

Both lanes are now open this afternoon, but do keep in mind there are delays on I-10 west in Harrison County due to Menge Avenue overpass work.
