Tax Free Weekend is here and shoppers are anxious to shop and save.

Customers flooded Gulfport’s Academy store, eager to take advantage of the savings and purchase items without the burden of sales tax.

The tax-free weekend offers savings on a wide selection of clothing, footwear, and accessories.

Items that are under $100 are eligible for tax-free purchase. This applies to online purchases as well.

Most shops have tax-free holiday on Thursday and it will end Sunday. Academy Sports Logistics Manager Jenny McGannon said, “Our BCG brand, which is Academy, is buy one, get one half price. So, that’s on all men, women, and kids BGC clothes. It’s all buy one, get one half off.”
