Officials cut the ribbon on new Goodwill Career Connection Center at MGCCC
A momentous occasion unfolded at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College’s Jackson County campus as students, faculty, and local notables gathered for the ribbon cutting for the new Goodwill Career Connection Center.
MGCCC Vice President Tammy Franks welcomed everyone and expressed heartfelt gratitude to Goodwill and everyone else who contributed to the project.
The Goodwill Career Center will offer many resources such as online training, interview coaching, soft-skills training, and resume design.
The center will be a great asset to not only Jackson County, but to every MGCCC location. Goodwill of South Mississippi CEO Tripp Harrison said, “Ideally, with the work we’re going to be doing here, we can hopefully introduce people to Gulf Coast Community College and perhaps that might be a pathway that they can explore that they weren’t necessarily considering. So, that way we can help boost enrollment here on the campus.”
MGCCC hopes to eventually offer these resources at every location. For more information visit goodwillsms.org.
