USM home run king Matt Wallner mashing for Twins
Southern Miss alum Matt Wallner would like to see more of the Mariners on the schedule. The Minnesota Twins outfielder mashing three home runs over his last two games, giving him four in 21 games this season.
Wallner is certainly making his case to stay in the Majors for good after hitting .291 with 11 big flies and 20 doubles in 67 games with the Triple A St. Paul Saints.
Wallner is the fifth-ranked prospect of the Twins, who drafted him out of USM 39th overall in 2019, after hitting a school-record 58 home runs in three years.
He was named International League Player of the Week last month.
