Public invited to Chill with a Cop in Bay St. Louis
Now who doesn’t love a good snow cone to cool off in the summertime?
Ms. Mary’s Old Town Snow-Ball in Bay St. Louis invited the public to chill with a cop this morning.
The very popular snow ball stand teamed up with the Bay St. Louis Police Department to beat the heat wave and bridge the gap with the community.
Those who attended were treated to free snowballs and conversations with local officers.
Roy Fullerton is a patrol officer and says the force plans to hold more events like this in the future. “We can make a difference, each and every contact. Whether it’s a patrol officer on the beat, whether it’s the detective working a major case, traffic enforcement. We can bridge the gap by putting a face and a name to the officers that serve the citizens of Bay St. Louis.”
The Bay St. Louis police plan to hold a ‘Coffee with a Cop’ event in August and a ‘Movie with a Cop’ event in October.
