Jackson County shooting suspect now charged with murder

The victim in a Thursday shooting at a Jackson County hotel has died and the suspected shooter is now charged with murder.

The suspect is 20-year-old Quinton Biggs and he’s being held with no bond.

Jackson County Sheriff John Ledbetter says the shooting at the Red Roof Inn exit 50, happened just before 4 yesterday afternoon.

Jackson County coroner said the victim, identified as 23-year-old Raishon Frasier of Vancleave, died overnight from multiple gunshot wounds.

Biggs had his initial appearance today.
