Coach Kiffin talks impact of Ole Miss freshmen at SEC Media Days

The Ole Miss football program is fresh off a top 25 recruiting class, featuring some of the best of the best from the Magnolia State and beyond.

Two of those top flight freshmen have already played on the same team. Not the same high school team, but on the same all-star team as a part of the Mississippi-Alabama Classic in December.

Five-star linebacker Suntarine Perkins out of Raleigh and four-star wide receiver Ayden Williams out of Ridgeland could have gone a lot of places, but they’re staying home in Mississippi to play for fourth-year Head Coach Lane Kiffin, who is expecting big things from the freshmen tandem, early and often in 2023. “Both of those guys, we hope that they play this year and have significant roles. They’re both really talented. They’ve both hit the ground running here in the off-season trying to learn everything, and both are at a position of need, so we have high expectations for both of them.”

Ole Miss kicks off the 2023 season at home in Oxford against Mercer on Saturday, September 2nd at 1 p.m.
