Harrison Central Elementary welcomes new principal
Harrison Central Elementary is welcoming a new face for the 2023-2024 school year.
Ms. Ida West is now the principal at Harrison Central Elementary. Prior to accepting her new position, West spent six of the last 10 years as the Bel-Aire Elementary assistant principal.
During her tenure at Bel-Aire, West was also a fifth-grade teacher, an instructional literacy coach, and a member of the school’s leadership team.
West says she’s excited to build on the amazing things happening at Harrison Central Elementary. “Children are our future. It doesn’t matter where God places me. I’m just going to do his work and help our children grow and just be the best principal I can be.”
Harrison Central Elementary will start back to school on August 4th.
