Bay High hosts fourth annual football camp
Local athletes were honing their skills at Bay High Summer Football Camp.
Bay High School hosted its fourth annual football camp, free to kids from all over the Coast. The camp saw more than 75 kids from third to eighth grade.
The kids got their skills up, working on ball and footwork drills, capped off camp with a touchdown celebration contest where kids showed off their best dances.
Lastly, to cool off, kids got a nice splash sliding down the water slide and enjoying popsicles.
Bay High Head Coach Jeremy Turcotte says the kids had a blast, but being a coach, he had to assess the talent. “Had some diving catches made, had some excellent punts, and passes, and kicks in our little competition. We don’t care where they end up playing. We just love football and we want these kids to come out and have something positive to do, have a good time.”
Coach Turcotte said camp organizers wanted to send a shout-out to the sponsors who helped with the youth camp over the past years and he looks forward to next year’s session.
