17-year-old charged after allegedly shooting 13-year-old in Gautier

GAUTIER, MS – On Tuesday, July 18, 2023, the Gautier Police Department responded to Ocean Springs Hospital for a reported 13-year-old gunshot victim.

The Criminal Investigation Division learned that the incident occurred in the 1800 block of Springridge Road in Gautier, Mississippi.

17-year-old Marcus Williams of Gautier was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. The 13-year-old victim is being treated for their injuries, which are not considered life-threatening.
