Mariners! Today’s forecast discussion for the Mississippi Sound and the Outer Waters:

As upper-level system swings through the middle Mississippi river valley today, the pressure gradient will tighten and small craft advisories and exercise caution headlines have been issued ahead of the system.

This should be somewhat short lived as winds subside tonight.

Next period of headlines will be exercise caution headlines over the weekend as onshore flow again strengthens.
