Wreck at Canal and Landon Road in Gulfport

Travelers of Canal and Landon Road may experience some traffic this week.

Just before 3:30, an accident involving two vehicles occurred at the traffic light at Canal and Landon Road.

A truck rolled to its side, hitting a utility pole which then caused the traffic lights to fall. Both people involved were taken to nearby hospitals.

The intersection has been turned into a four way stop for the time being. Harrison County Fire is asking everyone to be aware of this change.

The Harrison County Board of Supervisors hopes the traffic lights will be back up and running by Friday.
