Coast Young Professionals honors local 15-year-old
The Coast Young Professionals welcomes their youngest member yet. A teen from Bay St. Louis adds his membership to a list of achievements.
Most 15-year-olds are looking forward to getting their drivers license, but James Chilimigras is looking forward to starting law school at Loyola in New Orleans this fall.
James graduated high school at age 12 and by 15 has already received a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree.
He is also the youngest person in history to pass the CPA exam. He tells us he’s up for the challenge and says his Gulf Coast community has helped him reach his goals. “I think it is going to be very interesting. I’ve always had a little bit of an interest in law. My grandfather was a lawyer actually. I think it’s going to be challenging which I’m looking forward to as well. We really have a wonderful community here on the Gulf Coast. And I wouldn’t be where I am without everyone here.”
In addition to other outstanding firsts, the Coast Young Professionals named James their first honorary member. James addressed the CYP today after receiving his award. He tells them he looks forward to continuing to bring new achievements to the organization.
The Mississippi Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce and the Coast Young Professionals presented the award to him today.
CYP Director Anna Claire Perronne says they look forward to having him in their organization. “Our mission is to develop leaders along the Coast line. So, we’re really honored to be able to give Jimmy the first ever Young Professional honorary membership award.”
