‘Excel by 5’ and Coastal Family Health Center hosts annual immunization fair

School is fast approaching for kids as parents try to make sure their kids are immunized.

Coastal Family Health Center hosted its eighth annual ‘Excel by 5’ Biloxi Schools Immunization Fair.  The fair was held at Lopez School to help parents get their kids shots before school starts back in the coming weeks.

Dr. Wendy Williams says it is important to get the children cleared for learning by getting their shots now. “Everybody is trying to get in and get those immunizations done. Doctor offices are full, the health department is full. So, we wanted to be available. So, you can drop in and get those taken care of.”

The fair is open to kids from across the Coast and outside the state. Parents still looking to get their kids’ shots before school starts still have until this Friday from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
