Garth Brooks to play Caesar’s Superdome in September

Country music superstar Garth Brooks will headline the Sugar Bowl Country Kickoff concert this fall.

The September 2 concert will be held in the Caesar’s Superdome “in the round.” It is Brooks’ only show outside Las Vegas scheduled so far for 2023.

Tickets will go on sale July 21.

The Sugar Bowl Committee hopes to make the concert an annual Labor Day Weekend event to kick off college football season — with the proceeds used for the Sugar Bowl’s various programs and initiatives.

Joining Brooks will be Louisiana native Lainey Wilson and the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band.

The Allstate Sugar Bowl will be played January 1, 2024. It is one of two College Football Playoff semi-final games.
