Gulfport Police Department hosting fishing camp

School is out and summer camps are in.

The Gulfport Police Department is partnering with the city of Gulfport to hold a fishing camp this week.

Camp begins with a trip to the aquarium.

During the week the children learn how to fish in freshwater and saltwater.

The camp is free and open to children between the ages of eight and thirteen.

Bryson Fore is a camper and he says that he’s having a great time.

“I’m here fishing for fish so I can eat them and clean them and have fun. And somebody down there caught a black tip shark,” Bryson said.
