MHP hosting job fair this Saturday

Mississippi Highway Patrol will hold a job fair this Saturday at the Troop K substation at 10 AM on Highway 67.

Those interested can fill out an application at the job fair.

State recruiters will be at the event to meet with applicants – those interested much be 21 years old, have a valid driver’s license, and be a Mississippi resident.

The patrol’s mission is to have dedicated and hard-working officers to keep Mississippi’s highways safe.

Mississippi Highway Patrol spokesperson Cal Robertson describes MHP as a positive workplace.

“MHP is hiring. We’re starting a school the first part of January 2024,” Robertson said. “Now this class can be open to prior law enforcement or you don’t have to have any law enforcement. You can just come by Troop K substation. This is a great job, we have the largest office in the state.”
