Community cleans up beach after holiday celebration
While fireworks create unforgettable moments of celebration, they often leave a trail of debris on the beach.
After a night of celebrating Independence Day – Hancock County’s beach crew, The Boys and Girls Club, Bay St. Louis officers, and other volunteers gathered for a beach cleanup day.
The beach was filled with firework debris, plastic bottles, and other trash.
The volunteers gathered more than 50 gallons of trash.
Their act of community service ensured the beach returned to its beautiful state.
Harrison County sand beach crews were also on the sand early to clean up after the holiday.
