Car hit by train in downtown Gulfport

Gulfport Police Department reported a car was hit by a train on 25th Avenue and 14th Street in downtown Gulfport.

According to Gulfport Police’s PIO Jason Ducre, four people were in the car and have been transported to the hospital.

There is no word on their condition.

The railroad is blocked from 22nd Avenue to Broad Avenue, Gulfport Police ask for everyone to avoid the area.
