Matt Wallner named minor league hitter of the week

Southern Miss baseball alum Matt Wallner has been named the minor league hitter of the week for the Minnesota Twins organization.

Not so surprisingly, Wallner remains dominant at the plate for the St. Paul Saints who is the triple-a affiliate of the Twins.

This past week, Wallner posted a slash of .450, .450, and .900 with two home runs, two doubles, a triple, and four RBI’s.

It’s only a matter of time until this guy is called back up into the show.
