Justin Steele named to 2023 MLB All-Star roster

On Sunday, three Chicago Cubs players were named to the MLB National League all-star roster, and one player specifically hit really close to home.

For the first time in his career, George County alum Justin Steele can finally put All-Star on his baseball resum.

The left handed pitcher has made 15 starts while navigating his second full season on staff, and he spots an MLB best 2.43 ERA to go along with his 9-2 record.

Steele was a fifth-round selection of the Chicago Cubs back in 2014, and after years of hard-work and determination to the game, he made his MLB debut in April of 2021.
