Lyman Senior Center celebrates woman’s 100th birthday
A regular at the Lyman Senior Center celebrated a very special birthday today.
Helen Calehuaff is turning 100 years old on July 5th. She celebrated the milestone with her friends and family at the Lyman Senior Center.
Helen’s friends gave speeches, describing her as full of life and energy. According to Al Jones at the senior center, she loves dancing, polka music, and winning bingo. Even though when she wins, she gives her prizes away.
Helen is from Pennsylvania and has attended the Lyman Senior Center for three years. She lives with one of her three sons, Louis.
When asked the secret to making it to 100, Helen said it is about staying busy.”Keep your mind busy. I don’t want to get rusty.”
