Two women charged with stealing iPads, Apple watches from multiple Walmarts
Two women suspected of stealing thousands of dollars in iPads and Apple watches at multiple Walmarts have been arrested in Picayune.
Picayune Police say officers responded to the Walmart store about 5:48 p.m. Tuesday about a shoplifting call.
Police say 28-year-old Vlyncia M. Barnett and Dana N. Johnson were recognized on surveillance cameras as suspects who allegedly shoplifted at Walmarts in Harvey, Louisiana, and Slidell, Louisiana, earlier in the day.
Surveillance footage in Picayune showed the suspects allegedly taking items at that sore as well.
Several thousands of dollars in electronics that were taken from all three stores were recovered.
Barnett and Johnson were charged with felony shoplifting, felony conspiracy to commit shoplifting and felony receiving stolen property.
