Pass Christian native Cory McGee runs personal record mile

On Thursday, Pass Christian native Cory McGee continuing to build off a great showing at the Tokyo games, running a personal record in the mile at 4 minutes and 18.11 seconds at the Oslo Diamond League Dream Mile.

Not only a PR, but the third-fastest U.S. women’s mile ever.

For reference, that’s about 30 seconds faster than the incredible times she was posting back in high school.

At the 2020 games, McGee made it all the way to the finals of the women’s 1500 meter, finishing 12th and appears to be well on her way to the 2024 Paris games.
