Mary C. Youth Christmas Concert

The Mary C. Youth Symphony helped Gulf Coast residents get in the holiday spirit with its annual Christmas concert.
The young group of musicians practiced for weeks in order to prepare for tonight’s performance at the O’Keefe Cultural Center. The symphony performed a number of traditional holiday songs such as “Sleigh Bells” and “White Christmas.”
Members of the symphony tell News 25 out of all the performances scheduled throughout the year, this is by far the group’s favorite. Violinist Alana Andrus said, “I’m very proud of us. We’ve made a lot of progress in the past couple of years. It’s small but we definitely make an impact.”
The Mary C. Youth Symphony is made up of students from all over the Coast, varying from ages eight to 18.
