Flag retirement ceremony at American Legion Post 119

Today is Flag Day, a day to honor the symbol of our unity, resilience, and shared values.

The American Flag was first adopted on this day in 1777. The veterans at the American Legion remind us that proper flag care is an essential sign of respect and patriotism including knowing the proper way to fold and handle a flag and the correct way to retire a flag.

The American Legion Post 119 is hosting a flag retirement ceremony tonight at 6 on Highway 49, off Ashley Drive in Gulfport.
