State adds more than $9M to budget from Mississippi Lottery
The Mississippi Lottery Corporation has transferred more than $9 million to the state, bringing its contribution to the coffers at more than $113 million for the fiscal year of 2023.
The first $80 million of that money goes to roads and bridges, while the remainder is earmarked for the Education Enhancement Fund.
With a month remaining in the fiscal year, the state has added $33,220,264.37 to the education fund from lottery proceeds..
