Crosspoint Church in Gulfport hosts Camp Create

More than 200 kids packed into Crosspoint Church to begin Camp Create.

The week-long festivities teach first through sixth graders about God while fostering a fun environment. This year’s theme for the camp is a sports theme called ‘Game Plan.’

To begin, the camp instructors got students on their feet, getting pumped up as kids prepare for art-based activities.

For the next few days, students will use their craft skills to create a showcase on Friday in front of their parents.

Lead Instructor Jonathan Wooward talked about the main focus and theme of the camp. “First and foremost is that several children accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We hope that they will be inspired to get engaged wherever they go to church, not just to sit on the sidelines, but to get in the game. This is all about game plan and that’s what we want kids to leave here and not just kids, but we want adults to leave here and get in the game. God didn’t call us to be on the sidelines.”
