City of Pascagoula breaks ground on new retail site

Pascagoula city leaders broke ground this morning on a new retail development along Highway 90.

The groundbreaking was held on the property that once housed the old flea market.

What will take its place? A $21 million retail development from Kevin Jennings and Jamey Flegal of Noon Real Estate.

The development will feature an Aldi grocery store, a TJ Maxx, a Burlington, a 5 Below, and a Rack Room Shoes.

Pascagoula officials say they expect the retail site to create jobs, drive the economy, and promote quality of life.
