Pascagoula partially lifts city-wide boil water notice

The boil water notice in the southwest quadrant of Pascagoula — the area south of Highway 90 and west of 14th Street — was lifted about 7:30 a.m. by city officials.
After investigation, it was found that this area did not fall under the water pressure requirements per the state Department of Health, therefore the precautionary boil water notice is allowed to expire.
The north quadrant of the city — north of Highway 90 is seeing water pressure return at this time. The city  will be collecting samples in the area for testing.
This is a minimum 24-hour process. Once a positive report is received the boil water notice will be lifted for the area. The north quadrant remains under a boil water notice until further notice.
Pascagoula found a leak in the southeast quadrant of the city on Tuesday. The southeast quadrant is south of Highway 90 and east of 14th Street. That area remains under a boil water notice until further notice.
